Our product prints all of the
VICS BOL Supplement Pages. It even draws the circles around "Y" and "N". QuikVixBOL ™ is the easiest and most cost effective way to become VICS BOL compliant!
Bolt it on to your existing applications or run it stand alone with our GUI interface.
QuikVixBOL ™ is the
VICS Bill of Lading Bolt-On tool of choice by major manufacturers. It has saved $thousands and continues to do so, for many who supply goods to retailers such as JC Penney, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Federated, and the like.
One by one, retailers are becoming more and more strict with suppliers on standards compliance.
VICS
(Voluntary Industry Commerce Standards) has created, among many other standards, a bill of lading that has been adopted by some of the larger retailers.
Our product, QuikVixBOL ™ is a true "Bolt-On" solution for anyone who already has a warehouse or logistics package that does not produce the
VICS Bill of Lading. QuikVixBOL ™ is platform independent, so it will run on your Windows server or your Linux server. It will run on any platform that supports JAVA. It accepts a flat ASCII file that is specified in full detail in the documentation.
All you need to become
VICS Bill of Lading compliant is:
- This package
- JAVA
- and an HP or compatible LASER printer
This demo is an unlicensed full version of the QuikVixBOL ™ product. It will interchange two random characters of each output field except for critical and bar-coded data. By having the full product you can kick the tires before purchasing for as long as you like.

We recommend that you unzip the demo into a new directory and retain the directory structure of the zip. You will have two sub directories, documentation and sample applications. The documentation directory contains html files that explain the contents of the input file and how to call the QuikVixBOL ™ program.
You can run QuikVixBOL ™ from the command line by passing it a file or you can instantiate it in a JAVA application. There are sample programs and sample upload files that illustrate the different ways you can use this product. There is a sample GUI application that allows you to create actual Bills of lading on demand. You DO NOT NEED to be a JAVA programmer to use this product. You can create the BOL input file from any language you choose as it is just a fixed length ASCII file with section headers that specify which section of the BOL form should inherit the data.
There is even a sample SAP RFC and a SAP Server application. Both are written in JAVA and instantiate the QuikVixBOL ™ class. The section where you would place your custom code is clearly marked in each sample. The method you use is your choice.
Be warned, unless you have an SAP developer key or have access to the SAP development tools, specifically the JCO.jar for your platform, you will not be able to compile these examples. We are not authorized to distribute the SAP JCO.jar, however you can get more information from the SAP web site.
Once the demo is unzipped, you will need to modify the QuikVixBOL.ini file and the setpath.bat file. You must include QV.jar into your class path. The QuikVixBOL.ini file contains comments regarding the legal values of certain elements.

A super high end designer of today's top fashions and fragrances is using our VICS Bill of Lading software to print bills of lading for all of the top department stores. They are running it on an HP Unix platform with data from the Red Prairie WMS system. As you well know, many large retailers have either requested or required their vendors to use the VICS bill of lading. To ensure compliance, some of them dun their vendors for non-compliance in the form of a charge back. This is sort of like a penalty for hindering the retailer's efficiency. We've withheld the name of the designer until we are granted permission to use it in the way that they specify. Until then we see no harm in marketing our product as one that fills a need of SAKS', or JC Penney's, or Nordstrom's or Dillard's or BonTon's or Bloomingdale's or Federated's or Macy's or WalMart's or Target's or Lowes' or Home Depot's vendors, and just happens to have been accepted indirectly by all of them. Indirectly, because none of the retailers told anyone to use QuikVixBOL ™, but when they receive a bill of lading that has been printed via our VICS Bill of Lading software and accept it as the VICS standard, that's good enough for us.
A short success story.
One Monday in August 2002, a gentleman from Genesco contacted us about our VICS Bill of Lading software with several questions. We replied and instructed him to download the QuikVixBOL ™ demo and give it a try. By Thursday of that same week, after about three phone conversations and a few emails, he was printing Genesco's bills of lading using our product to produce the VICS format with data from Genesco's mainframe. Truly an astounding feat.
Another short success story.
A gentleman from Sunshine Mills downloaded our VICS Bill of Lading product, and after a fifteen minute phone conversation purchased it for his companies VICS BOL compliance needs. He said he was going to use the GUI interface, but quickly recognized that he could save a ton of time by integrating it into his system.
