For smaller installations, Traverse can be installed on a server or workstation using SQL Express 2008R2 which is Microsoft's free version of their SQL Server database engine.

Traverse 2.0 is now avaialble. Everything is upgraded, targeting Windows 10, windows Server 2019 and SQL Server 2017. One step installation and you can start using the Android, iPhone, or Microsoft App and Zebra / Motorola CS3000.

As your organization grows and your needs grow, you can upgrade to SQL Server Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition. This however only becomes necessary when you need to accommodate a high number of concurrent users under heavy load.
